Question:

On reviewing map 3C (Istanbul), one detail struck me as odd. There is a rail line crossing the Bosphorus and connecting Istanbul to Uskudar. Shouldn’t this be a or a ferry? I think the bridges crossing the Bosphorus are post-WWII.

Answer:

Yes, the crossing between Istanbul and Uskudar is a rail ferry. If you have the Total War maps, check out map 105, and in lower left of map you can see the Istanbul/Uskudar area, including the rail ferry.
